A new teaser trailer has been released for White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies, the direct sequel to its first installment that promises even more terror.

Have you already played White Day: A Labyrinth Named School? It is a survival horror game that was released in 2017 by SONNORI Corp and PQube. White Day is one of those games that scream “Japan!” everywhere, not only from the title’s origin, but because it’s one of those stories that fully embrace the particular idiosyncrasy of the Land of the Rising Sun. After a long wait, White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies has arrived.

The synopsis of the game clarifies that it is an immediate sequel to the first part and states that: “there has been a rumor among the students that the ghost of Sung-ah has appeared at the Yeondu Institute after the events of the previous game. The reaction of the people to the rumors was one of disbelief and indifference, although a few still remember what happened. Those same students decided to check for themselves if the rumors were true and ventured to enter the school late at night.”

The novelty that White Day: A Labyrinth Named School had was the system called “dynamic fear”. It is a mechanism that generates more terror in the moments of greater difficulty, responding directly to our way of playing. The system responds to how we face the game, if we are more daring, if we are more stealthy, if we set out to explore everything or just go to specific points. Apparently, this second part will reinforce this system, since it promises to be much more terrifying than the original.
